The Laundry "Solution"

With 3 "grown" men living back here at the ranch

and all three of them working 40+ hours per week (sometimes 60+)

we have an official laundry problem. 

 After much wailing and gnashing of teeth

(mostly from the Momma around here),

 we are ready to unveil our "solution"...

 

"WHAT?", you say. "Looks like a major, catastrophic closet explosion!"

 And you may just be right.  

Previously, this Momma would have agreed with you. 

But she has seen the light and she refuses to let the laundry steal her joy. 

 So here is the system in all of its glory...

dirties on the floor...

cleans on the table. 

 Yep, it's so simple and yet magnificent

one can hardly take it in, all at once.

This Momma gets a little weepy eyed just thinking about it...

or maybe it's just that overpowering smell that gets her all misty.

Baking for a crowd...

 

or just my very. large. Fam.

(It will all be gone by tomorrow.  So sad!)

great, big laugh.  He LOVED the water!

Oh, to be a Kid!

The Middles and Littles have been adventuring further from home these days, so I finally let them drag me followed them to their latest destination of fun...

Here the troops are gathering.  Tim came along for curiousity's sake.

 

Then it was a short run through the cow pasture.

 

Notice Marianna is NOT dressed appropriately, as usual. It was kind of chilly that night.

 

 

Shhh!  Don't tell the neighbor.

 The branches on the roof may or may not have come from his trees.

Ugh.

 

And here we are at the latest fort extraordinaire.

 

The smallest adventurer thinks he's such a big boy.

 

Happiness is playing "Let's Pretend".

 

The big brother is giving construction advice... like they really needed any?!

They even added a couple of  pallets as a floating dock on the shoreline.

Nice touch!

 

Then it was time to head back home (and warm Marianna up).  Brrr!

 

Two days later they're begging to go swimming...more on that later, though.

Marianna is just NOT the fisher gal she used to be

After just finding the perfect fishing hole and lowering the anchor on the pontoon...

Marianna declared, "Ready to go back home."

Dan's response, "No, we're busy fishing."

Then she asked, "Go to the raft?"

Again, "No, we're fishing."

Taking matters into her own hands,  "How do you start this thingy?"
