April Days

This month has included...
a surprise visit from a dishwashing Easter bunny
who stuck around to finish editing his last
paper for this school year!

A whole lot of yard camping...
 including an overnighter.
(Who knew that Dad would say "yes"?)
 Swinging on the "old" swings...
 and a "new" swing...
 thank you, Dad!
Eager kids running around outside in their jammies.
Francis is just putting up with all his crazy siblings.
Planting trees...

on a cold and windy day.
Another appearance of camo-man.

Teeny, tiny birch trees.
We are excited to watch them grow.
This month also included a weekend trip to MI for Dan and I
while Grandma and Grandpa held the fort down and tamed the kid chaos.
(The kids are wondering when we're leaving again.  They
think Grandma and Grandpa are the BEST!!!)

A Sunny Sunday

Joseph put on his waders and walked the raft back to our
dock...
Some of us lounged on it for the afternoon...
Tim and a friend put in a boat...

 The tough guy tried napping...
and the mini-tough guy tried getting a closer view of the water...

 Beautiful, lazy kind of day...

The Great Window Washing Experiment

Decided to clean the windows before Francis took his nap
on Saturday...

notice that there was lots of
picture taking and not a lot of
washing getting done.

Happy Easter and Celebrating a New 11 Year Old...

WARNING: This is a serious picture purge.

Coloring eggs on Good Friday...
Thanks to Dan and Grandma, no major mishaps!
Guess everyone needs an eyeball egg...
and Therese was thrilled with her creative genius.
Matthew opted to put the same egg in every cup of dye.
We also did some shrink-wrap style.
Therese's birthday landed on Holy Saturday this year.
After spending the day with her godparents
and a favorite cousin...
she came home in time to celebrate with Coffee Toffee Cheesecake...
and lasagna (oops, should have taken that picture sooner!)
Easter Sunday started with the required egg hunt...
(Dan took pictures, I was too busy cooking.)

The neighbor was out tilling his field with horses.
 Pretty cool!
Gabers wanted a picture with his dessert...
and our last picture is of the after-meal lethargy setting in.
Happy Easter !!
