Joseph found a couple of little friendly's stuck in the window well of his bedroom.

I think he's actually kind of cute.  Not cute if he were in my house, but outdoor cute.

Introducing...

Daphne and Donald (or Bruce, depending on who you ask).   The little's have decided that they know which sex the ducks are.  They claim you can tell by the ring around each ducks' nose!  Hope they're right or there will be a whole lot of disappointment around here.  Donald was the name chosen by the small fry but if you ask Stephen or Timothy, the duck's real name is Bruce (something to do with Weird Al).  Only time will tell which name will stick.

One dark and stormy night

Didn't get a chance to post this last week.  Don't know about you, but we've had some nasty weather lately.  It's time for dinner.... the storm clouds are rolling in.....

the weather radio is screaming horrendous tales of hail and high winds headed in our direction....Grandpa's calling to make sure everyone has taken cover....where, oh where are my children?....in the basement where any sane person would be?..... uh, no....they're out in the front yard checking out this awesome snapping turtle....

the picture does not do him justice....but let's just say I didn't really care at the time....so I tell everyone to head into the house....and they obey like the good little children I know they are....and they ask if they can wait outside to show Dad when he get's home from work!  NO.... need I say more?.....NO!

More about our fine, feathered friends...

The ducks have made their home in our garage for the time being.  This box is perfect for keeping them IN and Marianna OUT.

With a little help from Dad,  Marianna is learning to be GENTLE.  Most of the time she tries to kiss them...yuck.  I have a a really hard time with that but Dan just thinks it's funny.

Andrew tells this duck to "Follow Papa!" and waddle, waddle, off they go.

I'm not sure who's more entertaining, the ducks....or the kids!

We are only keeping two of these little duckies.  Let me repeat...we are only keeping two. 

While I was gone...

Last Saturday Grandma Arlene came to help corral the troops.  Dan and Joseph peeled potatoes at church for a Knights of Columbus dinner that was held on Sunday.  Tim and Stephen spend every third Sat. at the Cathedral getting ready for CNOP and Clare and I were on our

Mother/Daughter retreat. 

Grandma always takes everyone for a walk to visit Jim's animals.  Matthew decided to take the camera and so here's what I found for pictures.

Matthew does a nice job with photography, so good that he managed to get these geese in Jim's pond.
