Here's a few newsworthy pics...

We attempted a half-hearted start of school around here.  Due to some big computer glitches, the dreaded continuation of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease in the family and a nauseous, migraine-prone mama I should definitely stress that school is pretty HALF-hearted.  Here's a picture of one happy student though...
Can I just say that I LOVE 1st grade!!
Therese got all brave and adventurous the other day and decided she wanted a haircut.  So we got a little wild...

She really likes the new 'do. So it's all good.
And here's my view from the trip to drop Stephen off at the U...

Timothy was in charge of driving,
Stephen took care of directions for getting us lost through the Cities,
and I kept the fridge company in the back seat.
Breathtaking view from his dorm room.

And here's the New Man on Campus all ready for the adventure to begin.

  1. Looks like you've been busy, even if only half heartedly starting school. You're doing great! No need to rush in. We started this week and my thought is 'hey, we're already 3 days ahead of the building schoolers'. hehe...
We start the first couple weeks settling in and then gradually get into all of our subjects.
    Blessings on your school year!

  2. Therese's hair is really cute! I'm glad she likes it. Clare got hers cut in the spring and now hates it and can't wait for it to be long again.

Hand foot and mouth...we had that when I had only 4 kids...is that something they can get more than once? Dan said something about even the adults getting it? Hope you all feel better soon. YUCK!

At least you started school, right?
And sent another off to college? How is that mama heart?

    1. I was honestly shocked that Therese was even interested in cutting her hair. It was so sudden, I wouldn't be surprised if she regrets it in awhile.
HFM...there's a few versions of it. We had the really bad mouth version about 8 years ago. This version Dan got and our older boys, too. Four kids left to go and we've been sick for almost a month!!! We have a baptism we HAVE to be at next weekend...UGH!!!
Stephen has been so ready for the college away from home experience. It was really fun to see him in his element there. I DO miss his wicked sense of humor, though.
