All Hallow's Eve

 

Here's a bit of our celebration yesterday...

 

 

Marianna was supposed to be Blessed Imelda Lambertini.

 

Since that was quite a mouthful to say, she called herself Blessed Yoda.

 

The rest are St. John Paul II, the Archangel Gabriel and

St. Cecilia, respectively.

 

 

Not only did they come up with their own costumes,

 they also did their own pumpkin carving.

 

 

Matthew did the UMN emblem on the side of his pumpkin.

(Stephen may be gone but he is not forgotten!)

 



Then we all trouped out to our parish cemetery for Mass.

The youth put candles on each grave.

It's really awesome...

 

 

and CHILLY, too!

 

 

Then we partied (and warmed up) in the church basement.



Matthew's Birthday

 

(His birthday's on the 14th...pictures must have been lost in my camera, I think.)

 

 

We celebrated with the Grandma's, Grandpa's and some cheesecake.

(Matthew always requests Choc chip cookie dough cheesecake but that quickie

dessert next to it was the preferred treat this year.)

 

 

Then on his actual birthday we had a meal of his choice.

 

What can I say?  The kid's got expensive tastes!

I like to think this is how "school" looks around here...

So many people have been ultra-kind to our family while I was in recovery mode.

This gluten-free vanilla cake arrived with a meal last week.

 

 

After eyeing it up, Andrew asked if he could have a piece of the "glutton-free" cake. 

Sure!  Why not?

 

 

Hey, if it's glutton-free...why not just eat the whole thing?
