Here's the latest news from around our house:

Joseph's car is back on the road! Lest you think that all these repairs are out of the ordinary.  Here's a picture from about 3 years ago (back in our Geo Metro days). Who really needs a lot of automotive tools when trees are readily available?

Aside from working on his car,  Joseph also received some great news this past week.  He will be entering St. Thomas next Fall as a sophomore.  Woohoo!

We took advantage of the last cloudy day to get a quick photo shoot for Timothy's graduation.  Everyone seems to think the result was pretty good. I told him I'd only charge him $150 since he was such a good sport about the whole thing.

Stephen has just completed his first week on the job.  Thanks to the kind management, we had Chicken Noodle Soup last night.  I can see all kinds of special benefits to working at a snack bar.  Hopefully, this will extend to some long-term employment and I won't have to cook as often.

Clare and I are getting ready to head out the door for a Mother/Daughter Retreat this weekend.  She's all packed and ready to go.  I should be too but I'm just not quite as organized as she is.  We also managed to get her into the High School Summer Camp at Schoenstatt.  All the camp weeks filled up and she was on a waiting list with 30 other girls.  Not very good odds, I'm afraid.  The high school camp was the best option, in the end.

Matthew and Andrew did a quick experiment to go with their chapter on Jupiter this week.  It's supposed to show a movement like a hurricane.  Did you know the red spot on Jupiter is bigger than the entire Earth?

They also wanted to show off this cool find... it's a chalk rock.

Linda took Therese shopping for her veil.  Their trip included lunch and some time praying in front of Planned Parenthood.  I don't know if you can tell but the veil has roses on it....because Therese is all about roses these days.  Nothing like some special time with an awesome godmother to bring a smile to a little girl's face.

Johnny is still busy doing schoolwork everyday, even when everyone else wants to be outside.  Apparently math is very relaxing.

Gabriel has pretty much walked the entire yard pulling his favorite red wagon this past week.

Marianna is busy exploring the great outdoors.  We have to keep a close eye on her as she flits from one fascinating discovery to another.

Just chillin' after a morning of swinging outside....

Th-th-that's all folks!
