If it's yellow...

WARNING: NO PHOTOS WERE USED IN THE CREATION OF THIS POST BUT IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH, YOU MAY WANT TO SKIP IT JUST THE SAME.

Since Dan has been working in the basement recently, he noticed that the toilet down there always has yellow in the bowl.  He said that someone needs to inform our oldest three (whose bedroom shares the same floor as this bathroom) that they need to learn to flush.  So the next morning,  I took it upon myself to spread the word.  Timothy immediately went to ask Joseph if he flushes.  At which time I was accosted by two raving young men insisting that it must be the little people in the house that are responsible for such behavior. Apparently, just blaming younger members of the household was not fulfilling enough for Timothy.  He appointed himself a kind of potty police and camped outside the bathroom door.  Later that same afternoon  he caught Stephen coming out of the previously mentioned room and could be heard all the way upstairs accusing him of being the non-flusher of the family. Timothy insisted he didn't hear the toilet flushing!! To which Stephen denied any wrong doing. There's nothing quite so comical as listening to an almost 18 yo chew out his 16 yo brother for such an unusual infraction.  Maybe for losing his iPod or forgetting to put gas in the car, but whether or not he flushed?

In the upstairs bathroom I have a similar problem.  Mid-morning when I go back upstairs for whatever reason.  A friendly log is always waiting to welcome me from the little white bowl. I have asked all of the small fry who might be the culprit.  Of course, no one is willing to 'fess up.  Recently, I discovered the little criminal.  When I asked her why she doesn't flush.  She responded, "I did flush once...A LONG TIME AGO".  Well I guess that makes you good for life then!

  1. This is the exact scenario in our home...I was hoping it would get better....guess not?

It's so bad that Tom is so tired of having to unclog toilets, because of all the unflushers that of course no one admits to, that he promises that when they get their first home away from home, he's (Tom) going to come visit and take a big dump and leave it. haha, we always laugh about that!

  2. I'll pass Tom's idea on to Dan, seems to me they think alike! Hope you're enjoying this beautiful day. Who would believe it's only March?
